(Not) updating Ubuntu

“Not all updates can be installed. Run a partial upgrade…”

I decide to do nothing.

Do I have a development version of Ubuntu?

lsb_release -a

No.

I see Ubuntu 24.04.3 was released on August 7th.

  • I wonder if one of the host machine programs is in the way
  • I wonder if that dash issue might be a problem
  • Or something involved in 24.04.3

Some conversations on the topic:

I also notice that the versions are referred to as “Focal” and “Noble,” not by the animal names. I’ve been doing it wrong!
